HOT – project

The following information aims to give a general idea and presentation of the upcoming program HOT – room for professional audience.

STEAM ROOM, alternative choreographic center, presents the pilot program line HOT – room for professional audience.

HOT – room for professional audience aims to build a critical mass, so-called professional audience for contemporary dance and choreography in Sofia, Bulgaria. Within this program line, STEAM ROOM wants to create structures for the development of professional audience within the dance and choreography field, (both artists/practitioners and the wider public).

HOT will work within these three main issues:

Sharing practices.

Critical thinking and analysis.

Co-working space.

With this program line, STEAM ROOM wants to lay the foundations for a regular practice, to cultivate the knowledge around contemporary dance and choreography and to establish networking within the field and the city of Sofia.

HOT is thought within a research approach, not as an educational program. This pilot program is focused in the locality of Sofia. For further editions, HOT – room for professional audience is planned to happen in the different localities STEAM ROOM is involved in.
